    3. Giving dolomite lime together with tillage if the soil pH < 5.5.
    4. Making beds with a width of 110 cm height 20-25 cm according to the season, the width of the expanse of land for vines 200 cm width of the ditch 50-60 cm
    5. Applying manure to the beds and stirring evenly until loose, needs 5 tons per hectare
    6. Apply basic fertilizer UREA 50 kg, SP.36 100 kg, KCL 75 kg/Ha.
    7. Covering the surface of the bed with soil from the trench until it is evenly distributed.

  • Planting

    B. Planting

    1. The need for spinach seeds per hectare is around 3000 to 3500 grams.
    2. Water the beds before planting until they are evenly wet.
    3. Make a planting groove across the surface of the bed with bamboo blades that are pointed at the ends as deep as 1.5-2 cm. The distance between the grooves is 15-20 cm. If for the purpose of harvesting seeds, make planting holes and use a spacing of 30 x 20 cm.
    4. Plant the seeds in the grooves that have been made by spreading them thinly, at a density of 3-4 seeds per 1 cm of the groove length.
    5. Cover the furrows with thin soil or rice husk mixture 0.5-1.0 cm thick.
    6. Do regular watering with a fine sprinkling of Gembor/emrat.

  • Fertilization

    C. Fertilization

    2. At the age of 15 DAP, apply fertilizer to the 2nd Urea 200 kg, and Kcl 75 kg per hectare by mixing the two fertilizers and sprinkling them in the grooves between the rows of plants.

  • Plant Maintenance

    D. Plant Maintenance

    1. Thinning of plants
If the planting system in the grooves needs to be thinned if it grows too tightly, this should be done at the age of 15 HST before the 2nd follow-up fertilizer is carried out.
    2. Weeding
Weeding is done so that there is no competition for nutrients in the soil between weeds and the main crop, do the weeding at the age of 10-15 HST. Before the 2nd follow-up fertilization.
    3. Watering the Plants Watering the plants should be optimal because the age of the spinach plants is very short, around 25-30 HST. At the beginning before growing, do the watering in a Leb way or with a fine splash of water.
